Do Audiences Care About Video Quality?

An exploration of audiences attitudes to video and audio quality in the streaming age. By using industry interviews, questionnaires and practical exercises, it aims to understand audiences relationship to the fidelity of the media they are watching. By differentiating between storytelling and the objectional video and audio compression, the outcome of the study found that audiences do not care about video and audio quality and, through inference audiences watch media for narratives.
